DUKW interior before restoration

This is the inside of the DUKW as it was when I first got it. Time and weather had taken its toll on it. The hull had rust holes that were repaired by replacing sections of sheet metal. The entire hull was sandblasted and painted. The data plates on the dashboard were fabricated and silk screened to match the originals. Below is a picture of the same DUKW at the Military Vehicle Preservation Association's convention which was held in Chicago.
